9/24/2018 2 Comments Monster by QuillerYou called me a monster. I internalized that to mean that you thought I was unlovable. Unwantable. Unworthy. But I think we just had different connotations. I think you might have meant that I was the kind of person who didn’t let you win. Who wasn’t easily manipulated by you. Whom you couldn’t destroy. Maybe because I stood up to you, it caused your own monster to come out in full force.
Your uncontrolled demons taking over. Or perhaps, when you called me a monster, it was because I was holding up a mirror. And you accidently caught a reflection of yourself. You were the real monster all along.
